You set the pace.
We start by listening.

Knowing what to expect can make reaching out feel easier. Here is how the conversation begins.

Start with your story.

Talk about what you’re experiencing, what you’ve tried, and what you would like to feel comfortable doing again.

02 /

Understand your body.

Explore your movement, symptoms and daily habits with us. Ask questions and decide what you’re comfortable with.

03 /

Find your next step.

Work together on a care plan that makes sense for your needs, with guidance you can bring into everyday life.

Before your
appointment.

Wear clothing you can comfortably move in and bring your questions. For a virtual visit, choose a private space with room to move and check your internet connection.

The practice will confirm any appointment-specific preparation. You are welcome to ask about having a support person with you.

Your comfort.
Your choices.

Assessment and treatment should be explained before they begin. You can ask questions, take a break or decline any part of the appointment.

Virtual care does not involve an internal examination. If an internal assessment is suggested for an in-person visit, it is discussed first and only proceeds with your consent.

Practical questions.

Can I start with a question?

Absolutely. You can reach out before deciding whether to schedule. You don’t need a diagnosis or a perfectly worded explanation to ask about care.

Are appointments virtual or in person?

DTPT primarily offers virtual appointments. In-person care is available by arrangement for eligible patients. Contact the practice to confirm what is available for your location and needs.

Will I need an internal examination?

Never during a virtual appointment. For in-person pelvic health care it is one option among several, always explained first and always your choice. The pelvic health page goes through exactly what it involves.

What about fees, insurance or a referral?

Please ask the practice before booking. Fees, payment options, referral requirements and eligibility should be confirmed for your specific circumstances.

How many appointments will I need?

That depends on your individual needs and assessment. Discuss the proposed plan, expected review points and appointment costs with us before committing to care.
